Pls use the throttle to make the bike go forward, when you press the throttle the motor generates power to drive it, when you don't press the throttle the motor doesn't work. If your bike is out of battery you can pedal to make the bike go forward.

Phenomenal Beach Bike

Could not be happier with the performance of the bike on the beach. Shocks are nice for bumpy areas. Tires and tubes have held up over many rides over broken shell areas that couldn’t be avoided. Does have some trouble in soft sand but when riding any time other than high tide, not an issue at all. I did add a more comfortable seat but other than that it was perfect out of the box. Holds charge nicely but I would recommend cutting the power when you stop to sight see or search shells to conserve. Had a little trouble one very windy night when I was riding into the wind and had to use the pedal assist to keep it moving but it was a lot of wind. Haven’t had any issues past that one anomaly. The step through design is awesome for shell hunting getting on and off many, many, many times each trip. Highly recommend this bike. One final note, you will need a bike rack. It’s much too heavy to try to get it in and out of the back of a truck without a second pair of hands.
